Salary: £63,250 – £79,500 + £5,580 allowance + travel allowance

Our client is looking for a Senior Associate Electrical Engineer to join their Cambridge team and help lead some of the region's most technically complex and impactful projects. Cambridge is home to a rich portfolio across science & research, healthcare, commercial, and education sectors, offering the chance to work on projects that drive real innovation and sustainability.

As a Senior Associate, you'll play a key leadership role—guiding multi-disciplinary teams, shaping project strategies, and building strong, long-term client relationships. You'll also contribute to the continued growth of the Cambridge office, ensuring a high-performing, collaborative and supportive team environment.

What You'll Be Doing

Leading the delivery of large-scale electrical engineering projects

Acting as the primary client contact, building strong relationships and identifying future opportunities

Taking ownership of project financial performance and risk management

Coordinating multidisciplinary inputs and representing all engineering disciplines in meetings

Supporting bids, proposals and work-winning activity

Developing, mentoring and motivating a talented local team

Delegating, reviewing and ensuring the quality of technical work

Reporting project costs, resources and progress to senior management

About You

Chartered Electrical Engineer with strong technical expertise

Experience delivering complex, multi-sector projects

Skilled communicator with excellent client-facing capability

Strong organisational and project leadership skills

Ability to resolve challenges calmly and constructively

Able to motivate and guide teams, fostering a positive and collaborative culture

Confident working across disciplines and engaging with a wide range of stakeholders
